Nick is a business development, marketing and communications professional with a demonstrated understanding of how to conceive, create and monetize new and innovative opportunities through sales growth, partnership development and custom communication solutions.  He co-founded Y BizDev in 2007,  on the premise that Generation Y has something special to offer the world and the best way for brands, personalities and institutions to tap into that ‘special sauce’ is by learning how to speak the language, communicate effectively and align themselves with values that inspire  excellence and spur growth. His clients at Y BizDev have included BuyWithMe.com, Inc. Magazine, Interlex Communications, TMG Custom Media, Global Vision Communications, Goddard Claussen, American Chemistry Council, and Georgetown Business Association, among others.

As a beltway media and business development professional, Nick blends a passion for communication with his unique set of experiences developing winning strategies for businesses, organizations and brands helping them reach their next level of growth. A born entrepreneur, he is the product of small business family and had the fortune of gaining exposure to a variety of business models from his early youth on through adulthood.

As Publisher of the industry leading Washington Flyer Magazine, Nick was actively engaged in the business community as both a member of the media and strategic business advisor. As the Vice President of the Georgetown Business Association, Advisory Board Member to the Washington D.C. Small Business Development Center at Howard University, and founding steering committee member of Media Future Now, he engaged with a variety of industries, technologies, businesses models and public policy issues that providing Y BizDev’s with the ability to quickly and efficiently isolate the key issues at play and map out effective solutions for its clients.

Prior to serving as the Publisher of Washington Flyer Magazine, Nick served in advertising sales for The Economist Group’s Roll Call Newspaper and served as a Congressional Aide on Capitol Hill. He graduated from Bucknell University, class of ’05 where he played Division 1 baseball and focused his studies on Political Science and Philosophy.

Nick is also an avid golfer, his musings on his ‘second love’ can be read on his blog Confessions of a Golfoholic. In addition to golf, he is a total geek when it comes to entrepreneurship, technology and all things related to the kitchen.  Originally from Boston, he is also a cursed RedSox, Patriots and Celtics fan (though he fully admits to hating the sport of basketball).
